Artists' Statement My goal in painting is to achieve a visual effect. To me, the act of looking is primary. I do not place any conscious meaning into my art. However, this does not render my art meaningless. The meaning of each piece reveals itself to me over time, and I've found this to be a secondary goal of sorts.
